Grammy-nominated and platinum-selling artist John Ford Coley (formerly of England Dan & John Ford Coley) will perform an intimate acoustic concert benefitting Williamson County’s DUI Court. The event will kick off with a Charity Cake Auction followed by a performance by Coley, himself a Williamson County resident.
Known worldwide for such chart-topping hits as "I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” “Nights Are Forever Without You,” “We’ll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again,” “It’s Sad to Belong to Someone Else (When the Right One Comes Along),” and “Love Is the Answer,” John Ford Coley’s music transports listeners back in time to a special place in the heart.
His 2016 release, Eclectic, is a sensational two-CD, 26-song project co-produced by Coley and Tom Wurth that includes performances from T. Graham Brown, Vince Gill, Collin Raye, Georgia Middleman, and Jamie O’Neal.
John Ford Coley has toured with such legends as Elton John, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Carole King, Loggins and Messina, Led Zeppelin, Carly Simon, Steve Miller Band, and Gordon Lightfoot, to name a few. Along the way, he’s appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “American Bandstand,” “Merv Griffin,” “Mike Douglas,” “Dinah,” and acted in several films and television dramas. Most recently, Coley has penned a musical memoir entitled “Backstage Pass.”
Coley’s performance benefits the Williamson County DUI Court Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit that underwrites the work of the DUI Court. Williamson County’s DUI Court is a restorative justice program offering those charged with a 2nd or 3rd DUI the opportunity to enroll in an intensive year-long, court-supervised recovery program. Participants who complete the program are almost 20 times less likely to reoffend, making our roads and communities safer for everyone.
In addition to Balcony and Floor Tickets sold by the Franklin Theatre, the DUI Court Foundation is offering a very limited number of stage-front cabaret tables to individuals and groups who want to sponsor this transformative, life-changing program.
