Description

Texas' Country Sweetheart with rockabilly roots and a heartache-meets-honky-tonk voice, Kelly Willis has been labeled a country ingénue. As a new traditionalist singer/songwriter, her tunes effortlessly combine the storytelling and strings aspects of country music and the driving force of rock.

After the last two joint releases (Cheater's Game in 2013 and Our Year in 2014) with husband Bruce Robison featuring duets with beautifully organic close harmonies, the reigning Austin all-Americana couple are taking a break to pursue their own ventures this year. Kelly is touring in support of her solo project, Back Being Blue (Premium Records), due out this spring.

Opener: Caleb Caudle

In 2012, Caleb Caudle decided to quit his day job and focus solely on music -- five years and four albums later, Caudle is gaining the traction he deserves. He was recently dubbed “the musical equivalent of high-proof bourbon - rich in flavor, with a subtle, satisfying bite,” by Rolling Stone editors for their list of “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know.” One of Caleb’s strongest attributes is his unique and genuine method of songwriting, which Paste Magazine compared to Jason Isbell. His latest release, Crushed Coins, is a dark and dreamy narrative about following the light at the end of the tunnel.
