Description

For over 60 years The Dillards have brought their signature “L.A. Bluegrass/Country Rock” full-harmony sound to audiences across the globe, creating an imprint so large that musicians from all across the spectrum credit The Dillards as a singular influence – legendary musicians and groups such as Elton John, Don Henley, John Paul Jones, Linda Ronstadt, John McEuen, Steve Martin, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and Sam Bush all cite The Dillards, as do exciting young artists carrying their own mantle (such as Billy Strings and The Avett Brothers). The Dillards have written hundreds of songs and several became absolute standards that are played at shows and festivals everywhere – including “Dooley,” “Old Home Place,” and “There is a Time,” and artists like Doc Watson, Alan Jackson, Phish, The Kingston Trio, Porter Wagoner, J.D. Crowe, Widespread Panic, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Greensky Bluegrass have all performed or recorded Dillards tunes. The group boasts multiple GRAMMY® nominations and The Dillards are members of the International Bluegrass Music Association Hall of Fame. The Dillards’ appearances on The Andy Griffith Show remain iconic in the history of American television.
