Sierra Hull
In her first 25 years alone, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sierra Hull hit more milestones than many musicians accomplish in a lifetime. After making her Grand Ole Opry debut at the age of 10, the Tennessee-bred virtuoso mandolinist played Carnegie Hall at age 12, then landed a deal with Rounder Records just a year later. Now, Hull is set to deliver her fourth full-length for Rounder: an elegantly inventive and endlessly captivating album called 25 Trips.
Revealing her profound warmth as a storyteller, 25 Trips finds Hull shedding light on the beauty and chaos and sometimes sorrow of growing up and getting older. To that end, the album’s title nods to a particularly momentous year of her life, including her marriage to fellow bluegrass musician Justin Moses and the release of her widely acclaimed album Weighted Mind—a Béla Fleck-produced effort nominated for Best Folk Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Jim Lauderdale
At any given time, you’re likely to find Jim Lauderdale making music, whether he’s laying down a new track in the studio or working through a spontaneous melody at his home in Nashville. And if he’s not actively crafting new music, he’s certainly thinking about it. “It's a constant challenge to try to keep making better and better records, write better and better songs. I still always feel like I'm a developing artist,” he says. This may be a surprising sentiment from a man who’s won two Grammys, released 36 full-length albums, and taken home the Americana Music Association’s coveted Wagonmaster Award. But his forthcoming album Game Changer is convincing evidence that the North Carolina native is only continuing to hone his craft.
Bobby Tomberlin
CMA, ACM & Grammy nominee, Bobby Tomberlin, was raised in Luverne, Al, where he was a disc jockey at the age of 11, interviewing icons like Johnny Cash, Waylon and Tammy Wynette. Bobby was discovered by Mel Tillis and recently celebrated his 27th year as a staff songwriter for CURB Word Music. Bobby co-wrote "One More Day", recorded by Diamond Rio, Darryl Worley’s Top 10 hit, "A Good Day To Run” and the 2023 Grammy nominated Dolly Parton/Bill Anderson single, “Someday It’ll All Make Sense”. Bobby has also had songs recorded by Blake Shelton, Willie Nelson, Barbra Streisand, Faith Hill, Josh Turner, Kenny Rogers, Joe Nichols, Rodney Atkins, Joe Diffie, Dylan Scott, Pam Tillis, Mo Pitney, Jamey Johnson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chris Young, The Oak Ridge Boys, Deana Carter, Thompson Square, Bill Anderson, actor Chris Pine, Moe Bandy, Craig Morgan, Terri Clark, Neal McCoy, John Schneider, Lee Greenwood, Bobby Bare, Jeannie Seely, Steve Wariner, Rhonda Vincent and many others. Bobby was one of the cast members of the CMT hit series, The Singing Bee, for four seasons and has appeared on numerous television shows including Country’s Family Reunion, Opry Backstage and Authentic America.? Bobby has also been featured in several films including Wheeler, starring Kris Kristofferson and Stephen Dorff.? Bobby’s 2016 release, Out Of Road, featured guest vocals by Vince Gill, Bill Anderson and Bobby Bare. Like his current single, Bobby really has lived Country Music.
Lillie Mae
Lillie Mae, a multi-talented musician, began performing with her family band at a young age and moved to Nashville, expanding her musical pursuits. After early success with her group Jypsi, she found her niche as a studio musician collaborating with artists like Dwight Yoakam and Jack White. Her connection with Jack White led to joining his touring band, performing with legends like Neil Young and Robert Plant. Under Third Man Records, she released albums like "Forever and Then Some" and "Other Girls." In 2021, she ventured to Texas to create "Festival Eyes," drawing from personal experiences and featuring her family as her backing band. After becoming a mother in 2022, she returned to the stage and looks forward to a dynamic 2023, ready to share her new album and passion for performing with both longtime fans and new audiences.
