Description

Brassville is a musical collective comprised of HBCU alumni, all with ties to TSU. Since being formed in 2019 and Brassville has performed on multiple stages including the Ryman Auditorium, 3rd and Lindsley, ExitIN and more. With collaborators such as Slim & Husky’s, the National Museum of African American Music and their Alma Mater Tennessee State University, they continue to serve as community ambassadors providing entertainment to the greater Nashville area.

Destin Miller -
Destin is a Grammy award winning saxophonist and woodwind doubler born and raised in Chicago but now resides in Nashville, TN. He is a graduate of Tennessee State University which earned him a bachelors in commercial saxophone performance. He is currently pursuing a masters in commercial saxophone performance at Belmont University. He has had the opportunity to collaborate and perform with Ski Beats, Kenny Lattimore, Dallas Austin, and Donald Lawrence just to name a few. Destin is a active member of the Nashville music scene and can be seen performing in various clubs, venues, and groups all across the city of the most notable being the Nashville African American Wind Symphony where he serves as the principal saxophonist
 
Ashley “FluteBae” Crawford 
Born in Memphis, TN, Ashley Crawford began her flute journey at age 10. After studying at renowned HBCU, "Tennessee State University," and the prestigious School of Music at "Belmont University," she dedicated her life to sharing her gift and knowledge of flute to people of all ages. She became known as "Flutebae" from her 2017 viral sensation video of the #MaskOffChallenge. Ever since, she has fused the sounds of classical flute with the latest Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B music that has helped propel flute into mainstream music and media. She embodies the element of flute through her sultry and robust playing. Her melodious tone sings effortlessly and is felt on a visceral level. There are no limits to her style, and her playing transcends all genres. She appears on the Grammy award-winning album, "Urban Hymnal," and New Age Ambient album, "Kampan." She also released her 1st single, "Dreamin'," in 2023, featuring Grammy award-winning producer/composer Prof. Larry Jenkins.
