Description

BoDeans are an acclaimed American roots rock band formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin in the early 1980s. Built around the songwriting and distinctive voice of founding member Kurt Neumann, the band has spent four decades crafting a signature blend of heartland rock, Americana, and anthemic guitar-driven storytelling.

They broke through with their 1986 debut Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams, produced by T Bone Burnett, and went on to achieve mainstream success with hits including “Good Things,” “Idaho,” “Fadeaway”, “Only Love” and the Top 20 single “Closer to Free,” which also served as the theme for the television series Party of Five. With more than a dozen studio albums, multiple industry honors, and a reputation for powerful live performances, BoDeans have built a lasting national following.

Celebrating 40 years in 2026, the band continues to tour and record, carrying forward a legacy defined by resilience, authenticity, and enduring connection with audiences.
