Youth @ Oddity One-Day Workshop introduces students to the fun of improv through character creation, acting exercises, and short-form improv games. Participants will learn how to invent unique and memorable characters, make bold acting choices, and bring those characters to life on stage. Similar to the popular television show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, students will play fast-paced games that encourage creativity, confidence, and quick thinking.
Improv is also one of the best ways to learn teamwork. Students will practice listening, supporting one another's ideas, working together to solve problems, and learning how to make their scene partners look good. These skills help build trust, communication, and collaboration both on and off the stage.
No two workshops are exactly the same. Each session features a different mix of games, exercises, and challenges, giving students a fresh experience every time they attend. Whether they are brand new to improv or returning for another workshop, students will strengthen their performance skills while having a lot of fun in a positive, encouraging environment. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to jump in and play!
