Jimmy Gentry, believed by many to be Franklin’s greatest living hero, will share stories and photos of depression era Franklin and Williamson County. Gentry’s stories don’t stop there. As a WWII veteran that liberated the Dachau concentration camp, Gentry’s perspective on life is that only a small handful of Americans can still share to this day.

Rick Warwick, Franklin and Williamson County’s preeminent historian, will offer a uniquely academic perspective for Franklin Remembered. Warwick’s work is largely responsible for Franklin’s ability to save and cherish its history and preserve its buildings. Author of nearly a dozen books that focus on Williamson County’s past, Warwick is a welcome addition to Franklin Remembered.
