Before signing a record deal, Keith Anderson co-wrote Grammy-nominated "Beer Run (B Double E Double R-U-N)" for Garth Brooks and George Jones in 2001. He signed to Arista Nashville in 2004 where his debut album, Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll, was certified Gold and produced two top 10 hits and two Top 30 singles, including “Pickin’ Wildflowers”. In 2007, Anderson co-wrote Big & Rich's No. 1 hit that received nominations for CMA and ACM Song of the Year, "Lost in ThisMoment", before releasing his second album on Columbia in 2008. The second single from the album, "I Still Miss You", became his first Top 5 country hit peaking at #2 on the Billboard charts and “Sunday Morning in America" went Top 25.
